Position Summary:  Experienced project architect with responsibility to lead and manage architectural design team, providing technical support from schematic design to design development phases on large scale, mixed-use projects. Lead and manage construction document review and construction administration phases.

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer, Design Director / Design Principal / Project architect
Coordinates with: Project Manager

- Review program requirements and contract deliverables with Design Principal and Project Manager
- Work directly with Design Principal
- Ability to lead, direct and communicate effectively with design team members and design consultants
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Prepare schematic design and design development documentation
- Coordinate, communicate and interact well with other disciplines and client
- Manage and coordinate drawing development, detailing and materials specifications selections
- Review code compliance

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in construction documentation and production experience
- Experience in large scale, mixed-use Type I projects
- Understanding of basic building code and life safety requirements
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials applications and construction techniques
- Architectural license preferred
- Proficient with latest AutoCad software 
- Proficient with Revit software preferred
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Previous responsibility to oversee and manage assigned design staff
- Previous responsibility to coordinate effectively with other disciplines and consultants.
- Previous experience working with an Architect of Record desirable

Work Environment:
- Open office work stations 
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required
